Engraved and hand-colored by George Edwards generally acknowledged as the Father of British ornithology.
This original is printed on quarto-sized laid paper. Chain line is evident. Print has strong plate marks. Print is in VG condition with some age toning on the right side. Overall it is very presentable and attractive well worthy of hanging for display.
Sheet measures 11 1/2" H by 9 1/4" W.
Plate mark measures 9 1/8" H by 7 1/4” W.
