Print Maker: Ebenezer Emmons - Ebenezer Emmons (May 16, 1799 – October 1, 1863), was an American geologist with an interest in geology and fossils. He did work for Geological Survey of the State of New York and produced a series of volumes on the Natural History of New York (1848).
He was a pioneer whose accomplishments include the naming of the Adirondack Mountains in New York, the first ascent of Mount Marcy, the first discoverer of primordial fauna in any country.
