About the artist:
Ruth Cobb (American, 1914-2008), Boston artist studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and was an active member of the Boston and Provincetown modern art scene in the 1950s and 1960s. Cobb received many awards including recognitions from American Watercolor Society, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, and the National Academy of Design and exhibited actively at major venues such as the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, as well as galleries such as the Shore Galleries in Boston.
