Antique c. 19th [WS&S] Wilhelm Schiller & Son (1829 - 1914) Continental Majolica Figural Compote marked 11 5 62.
This Austrian Bohemian late c.19th Center Dish is heavily glazed with floral and foliate decoration around the dish bowl. Piece is in good condition + with few minor and hardly noticeable chips around front top leaf bottom leg leaf and top pedestal rim. Slight paint loose where ornate leaf meets the bowl portion of the Majolica is present so please see all pictures for details on condition.

Measurement is 10 1/2" height x 11 3/4" width x 9" depth and 3.7 lbs in weight.

About Wilhelm Schiller & Son [WS&S] Company:
Founded 1829 in Bodenbach Bohemia Austria (formerly Czechoslovakia) and produced both porcelain and pottery. In 1860’s quality Majolica’s were introduced to the company product line mainly vases urns and center pieces. WS&S stopped Majolica production and the factory closed in 1914 just before WWI started in Europe.
