French Cast Iron Gun Carriage engraved print from the Art of War in Europe.

Text reads: French Cast iron Barbette and Casemate; Sea Coast Gun Carriage. Barbette Cast Iron Carriage for Howitzers for 22 Centimetres. Casemate Carriage for 30 pounders. These two kinds of Carriages are in use in the new as well as older Sea Coast defences at Cherbourg.

Issued in Washington by George W. Bowman Printer in 1860 based on reports from 1854 1855 and 1856.
