This is an original 1883 engraving of Felix Durban portrait published in French Art Journal co-founded and directed by Cesar Daly (1811 - 1894) a French architect art designer publisher and pupil of Felix Duban (1798 - 1870).

Jacques Felix Duban was a French architect the contemporary of Jacques Ignace Hittorff and Henri Labrouste who in 1823 won the most prestige award of “ecole des Beaux-Arts” Parisian School of Fine Arts where he mastered style and knowledge of traditional antiques in relation to modern genres of that time. His most famous wore included renovation and redesign of ecole main building where he changed the alignment and visual components of the entire building from the entrance on Rue Bonaparte.
